Chatillon Lux – TSM Fougère Aftershave
In 1838, the German Settlement Society of Philadelphia helped a group of immigrants establish townships along the Missouri River in an area. It came to be known as the Missouri Rhineland due to its similarity to that Central European region. This area had a rich yet rocky soil and steep, rolling hills that were very familiar to these immigrants.
As they build their modest, sturdy and sparsely decorated homes, they began growing vegetables native to their homeland, like greens, turnips and cabbage. More importantly, they began cultivating vineyards in the same manner that they did in their homelands.
To this day, the Missouri Rhineland is a place were generous hosts welcome visitors from St. Louis, Kansas City and many other areas to enjoy their rustic wineries and stunning scenery. As visitors to the Missouri Rhineland navigate the rocky terrain on a bright spring day, the sharp green smells of the vineyards, combined with the blooming flowers among trees whose buds are suddenly transforming into leaves, fills the nostrils as the combination of sunlight and the warmness of a glass of wine envelop the senses.
TSM Fougère encapsulates that smell. Originally created to be a bright take on a fougère by request of The Shave Market on Facebook, the scent of first official aftershave of The Shave Market is now available to the public.
