Monserrat is inspired by the burnished colors of classic Italian fresco painting: juicy grapefruit and apricot laced through with green leaves and an unusual, fresh setting plaster note. Luscious and radiant. A fresh burst of green over musky grapefruit and osmanthus. Named after a paint color, Monserrat debuted at Jancar Jones Gallery, Los Angeles. It appeared with paintings in soft green, warm ochre and dusty orange. I was thinking of worn and repainted urban walls and the matte surfaces of Italian fresco painting, which is the origin of the fantasy note “setting plaster.”

Bruno Fazzolari is an artist whose work explores perception and the senses. Working in paint, scent and scupture, he is inspired by his own experience of abstraction and synesthesia (seeing scents). He is also inspired by the visual culture and history of perfume. Fazzolari's exhibitions often include a perfume developed alongside a body of works that include painting and sculpture.

All scents are hand-crafted and hand-poured in small batches in my studio in San Francisco, California using the highest quality raw materials I can find. Artisanal and personal in all respects, everything from the perfume formula to the package design is created, compounded, bottled, boxed and shipped by me and a small staff. We create high quality, independent perfumes for the discriminating and adventurous, producing idiosyncratic and uncanny scents that revisit classic styles with contemporary twists.
